A lot of Clubs seem to be suffering this season with a lack of both riders and officials but up to present the Auto 66 looks like having one of its best seasons on record. Competitors have been down at some of the bigger club meetings but this was expected and allowed for in our budgets. The big meetings have been excellent and have put us in a good financial position for next year.
We have been a little stretched in the office, this being the reason for no newsletter in August, but we are now catching up, as you will see we are actually ahead of ourselves by the provisional calendar enclosed for 2012. Noise is still a big problem at Elvington so the number of meetings has been reduced for 2012, but you will see from the fixture list we shall be visiting Mallory Park twice, three visits to Cadwell Park and new to the calendar and the club is Oulton Park Saturday 4th August.
With three meetings left this season we hope our run of support will continue and you will fill in the slip below showing your availability. Were hoping to get another newsletter out at the end of October to give details on training days, which Richard is intending running during the winter months.
The big social event will be the annual presentation and dinner dance which takes place on Saturday 21st January at the Ramada Hotel Wetherby. Tickets are £30 per person but these can be reduced by £10 if you are a registered marshal for 2011, this offer applies to marshals that have done a minimum of 3 meetings. Room is very limited and if you intend to come we advise you book in the next few weeks.
So that we can get the paperwork ready for 2012 we would appreciate it if you could fill in the membership renewal enclosed and return it by November.
